Description

This unique set includes samples of regolith engineered to be chemically and physically identical to the surface of the Moon. Featuring two of the primary regions of the Moon, each regolith comes contained in individually labeled boxes.

Lunar Mare Regolith Simulant: Based on the basins formed by lava flows about 4 billion years ago. Most of these darker regions of the moon are facing Earth.

Lunar Highlands Regolith Simulant: Based on the brighter and older regions of the moon which include most of the moon's craters.
